Medici con l’Africa CUAMM and CRIMEDIM are involved in a major project funded by the World Bank to start a national transport system for obstetric and surgical emergencies.
The challenge in Sierra Leone (which was hit hard by Ebola between 2014 and 2015) is to respond to the emergencies and create a stable and lasting emergency medical system. Starting from the positive experience of the rural district of Pujehun, where CUAMM operates since 2012, thousands ambulance service paramedics will be trained in all the country.
This project for Sierra Leone will be presented on April 19th in Novara. The presentation is taking place at Universita’ del Piemonte Orientale in Novara from 18.00 till 19.30.
