On 2-6 September 2018 the first pilot of TEAMS training was held in Germany, hosted by Humedica e. V., headquartered in Kaufbeuren (Bavaria).
The overall objective of TEAMS project is to develop, pilot and assess a standardized training package (set of simulation exercises), focused on operational team training for Emergency Medical Teams (EMTs), adaptable to different types of EMTs. The final product will consist of an online training package available online and free of charge. The online platform will be developed with a capacity to be easily accessible from all over the world and to be maintained with no cost over time.
During the first phase of the project, eight exercises of the training package were developed and the latter have been tested in Germany with the aim of polishing the material before the second pilot training in Turkey, at the end of October.
During this week of the first pilot phase, TEAMS Consortium discussed the layout of the exercises and their content. While Dr. Ragazzoni, as project’s coordinator, presented the way forward of the TEAMS 2.0. TEAMS 2.0 is focusing on developing a complementary Training of Trainers (ToT) package, allowing project EMTs that do not currently have training capacities to benefit from the TEAMS training package.
