Franco Foti
Medical doctor, graduated from Università degli studi di Pavia (1983), specialized in Anaesthesiology and Intensive Care in Università degli Studi di Milano, Italy (1987). He is also a graduate of the European Master in Disaster Medicine from Università del Piemonte Orientale in Novara, Italy (2006).
Franco had hospital experience in intensive care units and as an anesthesiologist in S. Anna Hospital (Lake Como). He also has ample pre-hospital experience on board of medical cars/helicopters and in the dispatch Emergency Center 112/118 of Sala Operativa Regionale dei Laghi (SOREU) in Lombardy, Italy.
He has extensive experience in risk analysis, regional disaster response, and medical planning for mass gathering events in Lombardy (EXPO 2015 and others).
Franco has been involved in several rescue teams following earthquakes in Italy. He is also the coordinator of training programs on disaster medicine and MCI response for pre-hospital professional rescuers with the ISEE program.
In CRIMEDIM, Franco is a unit coordinator of EMDM, involved in the full-scale exercises, and is a tutor of The Riceland Game.
