NOVEL INTEGRATED TOOLKIT FOR ENHANCED PRE-HOSPITAL LIFE SUPPORT AND TRIAGE IN CHALLENGING AND LARGE EMERGENCIES
The NIGHTINGALE project is a massive project funded by the European Commission for almost 9 million euros, aimed at improving the health response in major emergencies. The consortium includes, in addition to CRIMEDIM, 22 partners from all over Europe, including leading companies in the field of technological innovation, Universities and research centers, governmental and non-governmental institutions.
23 partners are working together to develop, test and deploy a new integrated toolkit for medical emergency response that will overcome the complicated procedures and outdated technologies that operators currently have to rely on. The toolkit will encompass a multitude of tools, services and applications needed to support pre-hospital triage and intervention, including innovative tools to perform digital identification, enable traceability, support rapid diagnosis and patient monitoring. This will improve the medical response and the coordination between emergency medical services, civil protection personnel, volunteers and citizens.
Specifically, CRIMEDIM is playing a key role in defining the requirements and operating principles, which will allow the toolkit to be designed based on the real needs of operators and on the scientific evidence.
