Marco Foletti

Medical doctor, graduated in Medicine and Surgery from University of Turin (2009), and specialized in Anaesthesiology and Intensive Care at Piemonte Orientale University (2015). During his professional career he also attended training courses on tropical medicine and public health during complex emergencies.

He took part in several development programs being carried by local NGOs in Rwanda, Uganda, Burkina Faso, Sierra Leone, and Haiti, then worked with Save The Children in Sierra Leone during the Ebola response and with Doctors Without Borders (MSF) in South Sudan, Central African Republic, Yemen and Iraq.

In CRIMEDIM, Marco is a research assistant involved in several research activities, including the professionalization of healthcare personnel during humanitarian response and the study of safe and effective anaesthesia in low-income countries.
