Massimo Azzaretto
Medical doctor, graduated from Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore in Rome, Italy (1991), and specialized in General Surgery (1997). He is also a graduate of The European Master in Disaster Medicine in Università del Piemonte Orientale in Novara, Italy (2007) and holds a Master’s degree in “Politics and Security in the Mediterranean area from 1945” from Università degli Studi di Cassino e del Lazio Meridionale, Italy (2002). He has also attended several courses on MCI management, civil protection activities, management of CBRN major events in prehospital and hospital setting, trauma, and medical emergencies management in adult and paediatric patient.
Since 2008 he works as Senior Assistant in the ED of the Cantù Hospital (Como – Italy). Previously, also involved in Como’s EMS and Italian Army. In addition, he holds extensive knowledge and experience in training as an ATLS Instructor, Emergo Train System Educator and Senior Instructor, ISEE Simulator, and XVR Virtual Training Instructor. Massimo has held training courses at national and international level on trauma management and MCI management.
In CRIMEDIM, Massimo is involved in field and online training activities such as The Riceland Game.
