Gianluca Ruggiero
Prof. Gianluca Ruggiero PhD is Associate Professor of criminal law at Dipartimento di Giurisprudenza e Scienze politiche economiche e sociali of the University of Eastern Piemont. He Studied Law in Turin. After completing his coursework, he obtained his master’s degree. The title of his master’s thesis was the Tax fraud in Italian Criminal Law. He then completed a PhD in Criminal law with the thesis entitled Criminal liability of legal entity. He then completed his first Habilitation on the subjects criminal law in 2014. The title of his Full Professor Habilitation was The Principle of Proportionality in criminal Law (2019).
On September 2015 he was appointed Professor of Criminal Law and related areas at the University of Turin. In spring 2018 he was called by the University of west Piemont and he held the Chair for criminal law and corporate criminal law. In 2013 he was awarded with the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation fellowship in evaluation of his research findings.
