Massimiliano Leigheb
Prof. Massimiliano Leigheb MD, PhD, MSc,
was Born in Italy in 1971. After a clinical period at Linkoping University (Sweden), and research activity at the Orthopaedic-Research-Unit of Cambridge University (U.K.), in 1997 he graduated in Medicine and Surgery (MD) at Turin University” (Ita). In 1997-’98 Dr Leigheb attended Cochin University Hospital in Paris (F). In 2003 he specialized in Orthopaedics and Traumatology at Modena University (Ita). In 2007 he got the PhD Degree in degenerative patologies and immunopatology at Insubriae University in Varese (Ita); in 2008 the II level Master in Hand and MicroSurgery at Modena Univesity (Ita); in 2010 the Microsurgical Techniques Degree at Cardarelli Hospital in Napoli (Ita).
Since may 2nd 2019 is Associate Professor of “Locomotive Apparatus Diseases” at the Department of Health Sciences, School of Medicine of the “Università del Piemonte Orientale” (UPO) in Novara, Italy. Since 7-2021 Prof. Leigheb is the Chief of the Orthopaedics and Traumatology Department of the “Maggiore della carità” University Hospital in Novara (Ita) and the Chief of the Specialization School in Orthopedics and Traumatology of the UPO (Ita).
Editorial Board member of many scientific journals, since 2020 is Editor in Chief of the World Journal of Orthopedics and of Minerva Orthopedics.
Main areas of research interest are Connective Tissues Engineering and Regenerative Medicine, Hand and Foot Surgery.
Mr Leigheb has been speaker or auditor at more than 170 courses and congresses. Scientific production up to 6-2021 includes more than 130 works.
