Alessandro Lamberti-Castronuovo
Alessandro is a global health researcher and advocate for ensuring delivery of quality health services to vulnerable populations. In various roles, he has theorized, organized, and implemented new models of care in order to improve marginalized communities' access to health services. As a practicing physician for over 15 years, he is specialized in emergency and internal medicine, with further work in cardiology and diagnostic ultrasound and he is an experienced, passionate trainer and mentor of young healthcare professionals, who wants to combine the clinical work with planning of evidence-based interventions and research.
While supervising large teams in both low and high resource settings, he has been a leader in introducing innovative medical and administrative solutions to improve patients' access to healthcare. With his work he aims to contribute at strengthening health systems and improve access to care through the integration and coordination of different levels of care in a whole-of-health system approach. Right now he is the focal point for primary health care for EMERGENCY NGO.
