I’m a medical doctor with more than 18 years working experience, with combined clinical, disasters and public health expertise. Extended experience in Complex Humanitarian Emergencies, Protracted crises and Outbreaks of infectious diseases (Haemorrhagic fevers -Ebola, Yellow fever, Meningitis, Cholera and COVID-19). Keen interest and experience in Migration /displaced population health related operations, programs, and policy.
I have worked with various international organizations such as MSF (Médecins Sans Frontiers), ICRC, Save the Children, UK-EMT, UK-Med covering a variety of Director/Coordination roles, Health Advisor and Strategic Planning and leading teams.
I’ve worked as a consultant for FCDO (ex-DFID), and in various opportunities for WHO/PAHO especially with the EMT initiative. Currently, I’m working as a consultant for Geneva Call, a Geneva based NGO and one of the world’s leading organizations in the field of humanitarian engagement with ANSAs (Armed-Non-State-Actors), ensuring awareness and compliance with IHL/IHRL for the protection of civilians in armed conflict.
I’ve experience in training development and delivery, currently a PhD candidate at CRIMEDIM_ Universita’ del Piemonte Orientale.
During my working experience I had the opportunity to deal, supervised and monitored operational research activities, such as acute and chronic malnutrition in slum settings, mental health, and psychosocial support in displaced populations.
