Luca Ragazzoni
Current Scientific Coordinator of CRIMEDIM. Associate Professor at the Università del Piemonte Orientale, medical doctor specialized in Anesthesiology and Intensive Care, and PhD in Disaster Medicine. Luca has been deployed to several disasters stricken areas and humanitarian response efforts as head of mission or training advisor for the United Nations, Governmental, and Non-Governmental Organizations. Coordinator of CRIMEDIM’s research personnel and administrative staff (40+) and Course Director of the European Master Disaster Medicine (EMDM). He is the principal investigator of several European founded projects and international research studies in collaboration with regional, national, and international organizations in the field of disaster medicine, humanitarian aid and global health. Member of the team of experts designated by the Italian Ministry of Health to guide the monitoring and evaluation of the national influenza pandemic plan. He is author of more than 100 peer-reviewed articles published in international scientific journals and widely presented at national and international congresses.
