Marc-Antoine Pigeon
Marc-Antoine Pigeon graduated from the faculty of medicine of Université Laval, in Quebec City, Canada, in 2017, and obtained the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada certification in emergency medicine in 2022. Currently, he is working clinically as an emergency physician in the region of Montreal, Canada, where he also acts as Deputy Regional Medical Director of Prehospital Medicine. In 2023, he completed the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center fellowship in Disaster Medicine. He currently is an Associate Professor at Université de Sherbrooke’s Faculty of medicine and Université Laval’s Faculty of medicine.
His research focusses on mass gathering medicine, standards, legislations and regulations for major planned events, as well as planification and mitigation of the impacts of mass gatherings on prehospital and hospital resources. He has been involved in the planning and medical services of over 150 mass gathering events over the past 10 years and is currently Quebec’s provincial commissioner for St. John Ambulance.
